Here is an article from the Albuquerque Hispano Business Journal written by Chris Cordova. The Albuquerque Hispano Business Journal is published by the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce.
The Santa Claran Region – Developing Partnerships for Today’s Business Environment Smart businesses have always looked for collaborations and partnerships and the business arm of Santa Clara Pueblo (Santa Clara Development Corporation) is no different. Our main business is tourism and hospitality and we have worked hard to develop partnerships with Northern New Mexico businesses in the industry. With that in mind, we would like to share a recently developed partnership between sixteen entities known as the Santa Claran Region – Hub of Northern New Mexico.
Through the Santa Claran Region partnership, we are able to provide visitors to Northern New Mexico with a reason to stay an extra day and spend an extra dollar. Each of the businesses works hard to move customers to our partners after they have visited us. For example, when people visit our golf course, they are made aware of other things to do in the area and encouraged to visit our partner businesses.
Through this partnership, we all share the cost of marketing, promotion and public relations. We are also able to offer partner pricing and combine our areas of expertise. In essence, we have developed a pool of resources that would otherwise be unavailable to any individual partner.
Each of the Santa Claran Region partners is actively promoting the partnership, and we are beginning to feel the buzz of our efforts. The partners are the Georgia O’Keefe museum, the Valles Caldera, Ghost Ranch, Black Mesa Golf Club, the Santa Claran Hotel Casino, Puye Cliff Dwellings, Bandelier National Monument, Los Alamos Historical Society, Estrella Del Norte Vineyard, Cumbres and Toltec Railroad, Ortega’s Weaving Shop, Santa Fe Stables, Northern New Mexico Regional Arts Center, the Roxanne Swentzell Tower Gallery, Ojo Caliente and Black Mesa Winery.
In today’s business world, collaboration and partnerships are critical to everyone’s success. The Santa Claran Region partnership offers access to great resources with very little cost to any one partner. This initiative is just getting started, but we are excited to see how successful it can be.
We encourage all of New Mexico’s businesses to collaborate and achieve successes that none of us could accomplish alone! We hope you will check out our new website, and visit us in the Santa Claran Region – Hub of Northern New Mexico.

The Valles Caldera National Preserve was a private ranch until 2000, when Congress created it from a well-known ranch known as "the Baca Ranch" in New Mexico's volcanic Jemez Mountain Range. This 89,000 acre property is situated inside a collapsed crater. Studded with eruptive domes and featuring Redondo Peak (11,254 feet), this old ranch property is now being developed to explore a new way of managing public lands.

The Ghost Ranch. There is a treasure hidden here at Ghost Ranch. Some have believed that this treasure is a pot of gold hidden long ago by cattle thieves; some … sought it in the form of oil and uranium; some … with finding artistic beauty or old bones. But in the years we lived here in this wilderness, Phoebe and I believe that we found the real treasure - an understanding of the love of God and an overwhelming sense of His living presence here. 115 NM Hwy. 399.
